Explosive devices found during downstream homicide investigation

Maine State Police say they found several “destructive devices” inside a home in Addison while investigating a homicide in Cherryfield. Police say the explosives were found Saturday morning at about 10 am at a home on East Side Road. The Maine State Police Bomb Team, Bangor Police Department Bomb Team and Maine Fire Marshal’s Office responded and the devices were rendered safe without incident. Police said there was no ongoing threat but they were still investigating. This was connected to a deadly home invasion in Cherryfield Thursday night. Police Adam said , 36, of Whitneyville, died in that attack. Another man and woman were both hurt. As of Monday morning, no arrests had been announced in connection with either the homicide or the explosive devices.
